Huge methane plumes observed in Eastern Arctic Ocean

We are witnessing the detonation of the Methane Time Bomb – LIVE, ladies and gentlemen. How fitting for the fateful year of 2012, when all climate conferences hitherto have talked only about CO2, the fuse, but not CH4 – Methane – the bomb itself. WAKE UP, dreamers, before we expire in our own nightmare!

I might take a trip to the Laptev Sea this summer or fall to observe and document this unprecedented phenomenon for myself, and for you. Stay tuned. But alarming as it is, this is just the beginning. We ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

Any question as to why the methane plumes occur where they do – on the Russian side of the Arctic?
